The Natural Environment
Water harvesting, recycling, permaculture
Aiming to live in harmony with the environment, we irrigate with rain water that we harvest and store in nine cisterns scattered around the property.
Our landscape features xerophytes (low-water-use plants) because we focus on vegetation native to the Sonora desert.
At Stone Curves, we recycle materials not collected in the city's blue recycling bins, including glass, all plastics and styrofoam, and electronics. The Recycling Center is managed by David Kirshbaum.
Our active composting system provides our community with rich soil for our garden, lawn, and permaculture landscape.
